Basically brilliant, Linn..the Unidisk SC/Chakra combo makes multichannel simple. Two boxes do everything...this Linn combo is a fine real-world solution for those who want a quality multi-channel performance combined with easy operation..we haven't come across another piece of high-end multichannel kit that blends into its environment so easily, is so simple to use, or does such a wide range of duties with such style. Music? well, this is a Linn system, so it would be a shock if it didn't deliver on this count...each disc is delivered precisely as it ought to be. This Unidisk SC/Chakra pairing deserves much respect. Sonic fireworks are guaranteed.

"It's a Linn product which should tell you all you need to know. Hand built in the factory in Scotland, this is a piece of equipment to inspire pride of ownership, from the way it looks and feels to the fact that it'll go on forever. Given the unique nature of the Unidisk SC, it's not surprising that it has no direct rivals. The nearest you'd get would be a very good universal player and a standalone AV processor, which together would easily come to the same kind of money as the Linn's ?2,995 price tag. If you're looking for serious home cinema without all the fuss, as well as a stunning music source, this is an excellent buy. Just add amplifier and speakers, or an active package, and you're in business - and it\s all done without any quality compromises."
