"It plays DVD+R/+RW although it`s not stated in the manual or any other source I've come across so far. The picture quality is really good esp. via SVideo (colour is amazing, I can see no difference between RGB and this; I owned a Philips and a Panny and none was that good in that matter). The only thing you`ve got to get used to is the slowness of initialisation and loading the recordible media".
