LINN RADIKAL & URIKA - THURSDAY 30th APRIL
[ 10th April 2009 ]
We would like to invite you to audition the new Radikal & Urika upgrades for the Sondek LP12 Turntable. These two new products offer the most exhilarating listening experience from an LP12 to date.
On Thursday, 30th April we are planning to hold a Linn Musical Evening here at the shop to play these exciting upgrades and would like to invite you and your partner to come along and listen for yourselves.
Get ready for simply the biggest performance improvement from an LP12 upgrade ever.
The new Linn Radikal Motor Control Unit and Linn Urika Phono Stage elevate the performance of the flagship Sondek LP12 turntable to such a high level that now represents a new pinnacle of turntable performance.
These upgrades offer Sondek owners a completely different way of powering and amplifying the LP12 turntable by retrieving and protecting the source signal to a far greater degree than ever before.
Linn Radikal Motor Control Unit & DC Motor offers a new level of accuracy, as well as radically reduced electrical and mechanical noise.
An on-board speed management system auto-calibrates the turntable for accurate motor speed control (using technology from Klimax DS), and requires no manual speed adjustment.
A new brushed DC motor with very low magnetic field and electrical noise, in a machined housing designed to reduce vibration and resonance.
The Motor Control Unit Linn Urika Phono Stage: positioned in the best possible place - inside the deck and mounted on a Trampolin. This greatly reduces the signal path, minimising the loss of information from the cartridge and maximising performance.
The Urika also includes a new screened T-Kable, directly soldered to the phono stage, delivering an improved signal to noise ratio. The flexibility of new T-Kable enables suspension to work more effectively without interference and simplifies set-up of the deck.
The dual mono phono design provides dedicated circuitry for each channel to minimise cross-talk.
Linn's new Keel subchassis and Ekos SE tonearm introduced last year have both been a remarkable success. They both help push forward the boundaries of what was previously possible in retrieving much more information from records on the LP12. We have many delighted customers enjoying the benefits of one or both of these upgrades. Records, and Record Players as you probably know have enjoyed a resurgence of interest amongst all generations for the last year or so. People both young and old recognise just how enjoyable a record can sound.
Our evening starts here at the shop at 7.30 pm and we aim to finish around 10pm. A glass of wine or soft drink will be offered as refreshment during the evening. If you would like to attend to be amongst the first to hear these new products then please give us a ring or email us so that we can be sure to hold you and your friend a place.
We look forward to seeing you.
With best regards,
Hamish, David, Bob & John.
