Hot on the heels of the very sucessful Uniti launched last October come the UnitiCute and the UnitiServe, both to be launched later this summer. These will complete Naim's new all-in-one audio system which we plan to be showing here at the shop as soon as it is available. Capable of great sound and Multiroom configuration, it promises to be a another Naim winner.

UnitiQute

Naim's first all-in-one audio system, and the first product they launched in the Uniti family, NaimUniti exceeded everyone's expectations and has proven to be immensely popular world wide. The single case contains a CD player, an amplifier, and a multi-format tuner delivering FM, DAB and internet radio, together with a whole host of analogue and digital inputs. It can also stream digital media from any UPnP-enabled device (PC, Mac) or Network Attached Storage (NAS) on the home network and has iPod connectivity. You can even connect a turntable, if you so wish. UnitiQute joins its larger sibling, also offering all-in-one capabilities, minus the CD player, but in a smaller, more compact casing.
The most recent addition to the family is the UnitiServe: a high-performance hard disk player/server with a Naim ripping engine, 1TB of internal storage, and UPnP server capabilities to serve audio to the NaimUniti and UnitiQute, or any UPnP-enabled media player.
You can easily combine these devices together with an iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad control app to form a high quality wireless multi-room audio system: UnitiSystem. The only wired connection needed is that between the UnitiServe and the network router to ensure reliability and the best streaming quality: everything else operates wirelessly.

UnitiQute is a complete and compact audio system containing multiple music sources, onboard DAC and pre and power amplification. All you need to add is speakers.

Integrated solutions like UnitiQute cater for the user with space restrictions or who desires a great sounding system with minimal box count.

Connect an iPod, MP3 Player or USB memory stick via the USB socket (or by a lead into the back of the Uniti for an iPod). They can both play files up to 24bit/96Hz - offering superb sound quality.

Where do you store your CD collection?
On shelves? In a cupboard? Sometimes scattered, on the floor? With UnitiServe, every CD you own can be stored, catalogued and ready to play at the press of a key, the click of a mouse or the touch of an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
UnitiServe is a compact, slot-loading, CD ripping, hard disk music player and server based on the technology of the multi-award-winning Naim HDX. It takes the fundamentals of the HDX; a massive internal hard disk drive, Naim bit-perfect ripping, Ethernet connection, UPnPTM server, StreamNet technology and local digital outputs, and combines them with a set of features perfectly suited to music in the home of today, and tomorrow.

All things to all music lovers
An audio system can grow around UnitiServe. It can replay ripped CDs into a digital input-equipped amplifier, such as the SUPERNAIT or a digital to analogue converter like Naim's DAC, for example, with all the engaging Naim musical insight, musical performance and clarity you would expect. In addition the UnitiServe can operate as a UPnPTM server to stream audio to any UPnPTM playback device over a home network, such as NaimUniti or UnitiQute, to create a simple and fantastic sounding multi-room system. And for those wanting to put sound quality at the centre of whole-home control, UnitiServe is StreamNet-enabled and can also function as the heart of a sophisticated IP-based NaimNet* multi-room system. However you choose to use UnitiServe, it can be controlled by an iPhone or iPod touch device running a dedicated Naim app, a touch screen, or a computer anywhere on the home network either via a web browser or the Naim Desktop Client application.

Naim confirms that the multi-award-winning HDX is to be offered with a 16GB Enterprise grade Single Level Cell (SLC) Solid State Drive (SSD). HDX-SSD, designed to cater for the music lover with an extensive collection, has no local storage and is designed to save to NAS giving almost infinite storage capability.The HDX-SSD also gets significant performance improvements with updates to its RAM and a new PCI audio card. Existing owners can upgrade their HDX with the new RAM and PCI card through the shop - please contact us.
The app to control the Naim HDX Hard Disk Player from an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad is now available from the Apple iTunes app store. This new app, was designed and coded in-house by Naim’s software team and will also control the primary output of NaimNet Music Servers & the new UnitiServe.
